Everything dies baby that's a fact But maybe everything that dies someday comes back --Atlantic City, Bruce Springsteen
And now the only piece of advice that continues to help: Is anyone that's making anything new only breaks something else. --When My Time Coms, Dawes
These lyrics have been going through my head with monotonous regularity lately. I wonder what I'm trying to tell myself. Thu, Mar. 26th, 2009, 11:04 pm Duke Su....
I should probably feel guilty about how much pleasure I got from watching Duke loose against Villanova..... BUT I don't, I don't in the slightest, bwhahahhahaaaahahaha!!!!!!! Sun, Nov. 18th, 2007, 11:56 pm
(via Engadget) Those paying close attention won't be surprised to find out that today marks a special day in the history of Engadget. It brings us no small amount of pride to help announce a dear friend and cohort's new venture: Peter Rojas, who founded Engadget, Joystiq, and Gizmodo, is launching his latest company today, RCRD LBL. http://rcrdlbl.com/

Right.....so where was I ?
Ghana beat the Czech Republic 2-0 today. Biggest upset of the World Cup so far this year. Food tastes a little better today, jokes are just a bit more funny, life is beautiful. Sun, May. 7th, 2006, 09:38 pm Bells
So I've decided to buy a bunch of bells and tie them on strings and throw them randomly into trees around my neighborhood so when the wind blows there will be a little bell symphony. Sun, May. 7th, 2006, 08:27 pm Admission
Its official. I can't deny it any more. I've tried. Its been a long time now, I have to admit it. The Simpsons sucks.
Another T-shirt idea:
Hate the player And the game
Apparrantly thats been done. So how about this:
Faith: Hate the players Love the game
I think I'm going to get this put on a t-shirt sometime soon.
God is a lesbian, but also a gay, a black a white, a chrysanthemum. It is because you don't understand that, that you discriminate. --Thich Nhat Hanh Wed, Feb. 15th, 2006, 07:23 am Interesting...
Stumbled across this quote the other day. A bit serendipitous.
The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend a personal God and avoid dogmas and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things, natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity. If there is any religion that would cope with modern scientific needs, it would be Buddhism. --Albert Einstein
Vancouver is beautiful. Mon, Jan. 30th, 2006, 03:45 pm ...Landed...
Ok, I've arrived in vangroovy and seemed to have brought the sun with me. Going for sushi for lunch and then I think a walk around Stanley Park. Also, I managed to grab my 40G ipod before I left toronto, so I'll have my own soundtrack. I'm thinking a little Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan for the walk. Life is good. Sat, Jan. 21st, 2006, 11:24 pm Vangroovy
Well, I leave next sat. for vancouver. Got a place to live 2 blocks from the bay. Can't wait to see the ocean, again. Sat, Jan. 21st, 2006, 11:22 pm Perfect
This is my favourite piece of writing of the moment. It may be a perfect poem.
After Work
The shack and a few trees float in the blowing fog
I pull out your blouse, warm my cold hands on your breasts. you laugh and shudder peeling garlic by the hot iron stove. bring in the axe, the rake, the wood
we'll lean on the wall against each other stew simmering on the fire as it grows dark drinking wine.
Gary Snyder Fri, Jan. 13th, 2006, 05:15 pm Ramble on...
Well, it looks like its official, moving to vancouver at the end of the month. Its amazing the difference a couple of weeks and a phone call can make in ones life. And how things can come full circle because I was actually planning on moving to vancouver last spring....I don't even want to begin to think of the difference that would have made in my life. God can have a twisted sense of humour sometimes, but really, I wouldn't want it any other way. Right now, if my life were a movie (David Lynch would be the director, yes my life is that strange) and the soundtrack would be Hurt (the Johnny Cash version)... If I could start again, a million miles away....
Now if I can just arrange an apt/room before I get there that would be perfect. Can't wait to get to vangroovy. After spending the summer in the country it'll be good to be living where I can see the mountains and the forests. Granted I won't be able to walk out my front door and run through the woods naked like I did this summer. But its better than being surrounded by nothing but concrete and asphalt. Sat, Dec. 31st, 2005, 05:37 pm Ready
Ok, enough with the self-pretentious twaddle. Time to start a new year properly.
Bottle of Jack Daniels - check. Bottle of red wine - check. Bottle of Champagne - check. 2 packs of cigarettes - check. Mind full of wonder-lust, heart full of fire, soul full of mischief - check.
I have a feeling it's going to be an interesting year ! Fri, Dec. 30th, 2005, 11:16 pm Goodbye
Happiness is as happiness does, life goes on, we all end up as dust
I have no idea what that means but it just popped into my head. That's kind of the way I feel about this year, now that it's over, it seems like it all happened at once. And maybe I blinked somewhere along the way.
It still hurts to be without you sometimes. I miss talking to you most of all. Or listening to you talk really. They way you danced around a subject, arguing and answering yourself. That and going down on you. Looking up from between your thighs and seeing you, head thrown back, eyes closed, lips twitching like butterflies. Not knowing what you're thinking about but knowing I'm taking you there. Sometimes I think I can still smell you, that light feather touch of lavendar mixed with your sex, brings a smile.
Goodbye. Mon, Jul. 25th, 2005, 06:06 am My new digs.
Living in the country.
Had to put this up. Stolen from Fark. If superman had landed in Brighton instead of Smallville. This might only be funny to me because I lived in Brighton when I was a young lad. |
